National Geographic Student Expeditions – Costa Rica

This past summer, students on our Costa Rica field workshop went horseback riding in the Monteverde Cloud Forest and soared through its canopy on a series of ziplines. They set out on night hikes with expert Taylor Edwards in search the forest’s lively nocturnal animals and swam beneath the San Luis waterfall. On the coast, they met with conservation biologists to learn about the endangered leatherback turtle, and tried their hand at surfing on one of Costa Rica’s premier surfing beaches. Check out this video to get a taste of their unforgettable adventure.
